Glen Barr, SILC Council Member, Region 7

Glen Howard Barr, 68 of Dyersburg, passed away on May 27, 2010.

Glen was the Executive Director of the Jackson Center for Independent Living for which he founded,
a member of the Lake Road Baptist Church, a graduate of and Alumni recipient of the year of DSCC,
and a member of the Dyersburg Civitan Club. Glen was appointed by the Governor(s) to serve on the
Statewide Independent Living Council for multiple terms, January, 1997 through October, 2002 and again
in November, 2008 for another three year term. He was serving the dual role on the Council as Region 7
representative and representative for the six Center Executive Directors at the time of his death.

The SILC recognizes and appreciates his service over the years.
